Is Watchful GDPR compliant?
Watchful is fully GDPR-compliant.
Here are the ways in which we protect this data and maintain compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that went into effect on May 25, 2018.
1. Client site data is stored exclusively in the EU on GDPR-ready AWS servers. No personal information from sites is stored (such as usernames and emails for example).
2. Personal information submitted by Watchful account holders is processed exclusively with GDPR-compliant service providers. This includes our payment processor Recurly and the email service provider Mailchimp.
3. Watchful users may enter into a Data Processing Agreement with Watchful in the Account & Subscripttion
area.
4. To comply with the "right to be forgotten" clause of the GDPR, personally-identifiable information can be deleted automatically by canceling your Watchful subscription and deleting your account.
Full details of how and why we collect personal information can be found in our privacy policy.
