How to create a manual backup

A manual backup can be performed at any time from the sites dashboard. This is commonly done when site maintenance needs to be performed but the existing backup is not recent enough. 

Note: You must have configured at least one of the supported backup plugins before performing a manual backup.

Performing a manual backup

Follow the steps below the perform a manual backup.

1. From the sites dashboard, locate the site of interest. Click the site name to open the site drawer and reveal all the tools and insights for that site.

2. Click the start backup button to open the backup modal.

3. If you have multiple backup profiles configured for your site, select the appropriate one from the dropdown at the top-right.

4. Click the start backup button in the backup modal to begin the backup process. Wait until the progress indicator reaches 100% before proceeding.
